In light of the suffering experienced by the Syrian people in Turkey, and the harsh life situation of the Syrian women, and because of the loss or absence of the breadwinner, the idea of sewing learning for Syrian women was raised in Mersin.
The project aims to rehabilitate and educate the widows, wives and daughters of martyrs and the poor women, who are aged 18 and 35 years of sewing, as a rehabilitation and livelihood project. The courses include sewing and fashion design, as well as Turkish language learning and psychological support lectures.
The project was expanded by creating a production section, which would serve as a livelihood project for the working women in the centre. Through which the production of goods and sell them in the local market for the return of the profit for female workers in this section.
